From mid-September till early October millions of people from all over the world dress up in Bavarian dirndl or lederhosen, indulge in hearty pretzels and bratwursts and liters of wheat beer. What better place to do it in than the famous Bavarian capital city of Munich? And did you know that the city of Munich banned disposable serving ware back in 1991? Fun AND sustainable!

The Black Forest region was like something out of a fairytale and you can really see how the Brother's Grimm got their inspiration! We went on an adventure through thick woodlands, flowering meadows, deep valleys and flowing waterfalls... it was nature at its finest and all so enchanting I half expected to find a trail of breadcrumbs and meet a fair princess or a wicked witch!

The Berlin Wall was one of the most stirring places I visited in Germany and a must-see on your Berlin trip. The wall once divided the German capital in every sense and you can now visit the remaining sections of the once 155-km wall. It was an incredible experience to see all the thought-provoking graffiti and moving artworks now covering the wall.
The German pretzel in its original home is on many foodie bucket lists, and we’ll let you in on all the best pretzel stands across the country. This salty, fluffy, knotted treat is best eaten in the morning when they’re fresh and warm, but we also love to wash them down with an afternoon ale.
The sugar-obsessed will rejoice at this donut-like pastry made from sweet yeast dough and baked with a filling like jam, chocolate, vanilla cream or even eggnog during the festive season. Incredibly addictive, you won't be able to stop at just one.
Here’s some stats to boggle your mind - over 50% of Germany’s breweries are in Bavaria, with around 40 types of beer and over 4,000 brands of Bavarian beer. Feel overwhelmed? We’ll guide you through the frothy goodness, as we hop through the best beer halls to sample the cream of the crop.
Germany is a must-visit all year round. Explore the cities in summer, see the golden leaves of the Black Forest in autumn, or get festive in winter at the famous Christmas markets.
Ready to get festive? December is the best time to experience Germany’s yuletide cheer and explore the magical Christmas markets, filled with handcrafted toys, mulled wine and delicious treats under sparkling lights.
Germany's beautiful Black Forest region is a must-visit all year round, from pretty blooms of spring and the golden leaves of autumn.
From Frankfurt to Cologne, you’ll have plenty of fantastic cities to explore on your trip to Germany. We love visiting in the shoulder months of April, May, September and October when crowds are fewer and the weather is warm.
Many visitors to Germany love to dress up in dirndls and lederhosen, but make sure you ask a local on the right way to wear these traditional costumes.
Tap water is safe to drink in Germany , so bring a reusable bottle and reduce your plastic waste. It'll come in handy for when you're hitting the streets of Berlin or walking through the Black Forest.
Littering is particularly frowned upon in Germany, so say no to plastic packaging and bring your own reusable bags and bottles when you visit Germany.
