We’ll let you in on the country’s best beaches, bars and streets filled with museums and galleries, before you go your own way, because that’s how we do it. From taking in the icons like the towering Christ the Redeemer to strolling around Rio's charming bohemian neighbourhoods, you’ll discover Brazil, but always your way.
Wondering what to do in Brazil? Our Brazil trips have got you covered with all the iconic highlights, from the giant Iguassu Falls to the churrasco style Brazilian barbecues.
If you’ve ever wanted to ride an old cogwheel train, here’s your chance. No Rio de Janeiro tour is complete without boarding the Corcovado Train and rolling up Mount Corcovado through the lush rainforest of Tijuca National Park. Once we reach the top, prepare to come face to face with Christ the Redeemer, the towering 37 metre icon of Rio.
Words can’t really describe what it’s like to stand in front of the world’s largest series of waterfalls, but we can say it’s definitely one for the Brazil bucket list. We’ll take you on an adventure through the Iguassu National Park starting with the Brazilian side, where you’ll explore the jungle and see the churning Devil’s Throat, the tallest of Iguassu's waterfalls.
We'll take you out to the Carretão Ipanema Churrascaria in Rio to experience one of the best Brazil highlights - a traditional barbecue, churrasco style. This South American way of grilling meat originated centuries ago from the fireside roasting methods of the gaúchos of southern Brazil, so you'll be sampling a slice of history with every delicious mouthful.
Enjoy a tailor made Brazil holiday with our range of Choice Experiences. Choose from adventures like riding a cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain and seeing the incredible bird park of Iguassu.

You’ll feel the samba rhythm of Rio as soon as you touch down in this fun city, and we went to a show of music and dance, where the country’s Bohemian culture and mystical rituals were revealed through the powerful drummers, beautiful dancers and dazzling carnival costumes. We even picked up a few moves!

No trip to Rio is complete without a trip by cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. The view from the top will provide sweeping views of a city bordered by beaches and broken up by protruding mountain ranges. If you time it right you might even be lucky enough to watch the sun go down over the city making for a truly magical experience.

The Iguassu Falls are a twitcher's paradise and you can't miss checking out the Bird Park of the national park. It's home to more than 900 birds from 150 native species and you can take a self-guided walking tour along a marked trail through the beautiful forests. You can even get up close and personal with the birds at the aviaries!
If you’re looking for Brazilian comfort food, look no further than feijoada. This national treasure is traditionally made from black beans (feijão), chunks of beef, smoked sausage, salted pork, strips of jerky beef, and vegetables like potatoes and pumpkin all stirred together in a soul-warming stew.
Barbecue meat is Brazil’s favourite food and you’ll get to the heart of the country at a local Churrascaria, where they cook meat in a mouthwatering churrasco (barbecue) style. It's usually served by slicing the meat off the sizzling skewers right at your table, then you get to tuck in all-you-can-eat style.
Known as the mojito’s funky cousin, the caipirinha is the most popular cocktail in Brazil and soon to be your go-to drink order. It’s made from cachaça (Brazilian rum), a sprinkling of sugar, and fresh slices of lime. It is best enjoyed at a beach bar on a balmy evening in Brazil.
There’s something extra special about Brazil in the dry season when the weather is warm and sunny. From May to November, it’s all about beach days and exploring the Amazon.
Any time from May to October is perfect for kicking up the sand and splashing in the waves in Brazil, as these are the driest months of the year.
Autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) offer milder weather and fewer crowds, but any time from May to October is sure to be a dream for sightseeing in Brazil.
If you want to go exploring in the Amazon, head there between May to mid-October for drier, less humid conditions and better chances for spotting wildlife.
Tipping is an important part of supporting local workers, and it's customary to tip at least 10% to hotel and restaurant staff, street vendors and taxi drivers on your travels.
Head straight to the markets and local restaurants to find a goldmine of unique fruits, vegetables and seafood, fresh from the local farmers and fishermen of Brazil.
We pay your national park entry fees as part of your Costsaver Brazil trip, which helps continue the protection of the rainforests, oceans, native peoples and animals that live in these beautiful environments.
