Despite Prague’s rich history of invasions, the Old Town Square has remained relatively untouched since the 10th Century. It's an incredible experience to wander its historical streets. The square itself is the perfect place to admire the wonderful architecture Prague has to offer and if that isn’t your thing then the various street performers, musicians and merchants that line the streets here will certainly keep you entertained.

Prague Castle is a UNESCO treasure and a must for any visitor to Prague. More of a walled city a castle, the complex is accessible even to those without a ticket. It's an amazing place to stroll around even for a short time, taking in the atmosphere of the cobbled streets and surrounding gardens.

Sekaná pečeně (baked mincemeat), is the Czech’s delicious answer to meatloaf. It’s made from a mix of egg, soaked bread and half beef and half pork mince, with a bunch of spices like marjoram, parsley and cumin thrown in. Take a thick slice and pair it with mashed potatoes for the ultimate Czech dinner.
If you want to taste a truly traditional meal in the Czech Republic, ask for vepřo knedlo zelo. It’s the country’s beloved national dish, made of roast pork served with knedlíky (steamed bread dumplings) and pickled cabbage or sauerkraut. Perfect on a cold winter’s night… or any day of the year.
The Czech Republic drinks the most beer in the world and it’s probably because they have the best beer in the world. They’ve been brewing since the year 993 and have created some of the world’s favourite beers like Pilsner and Budweiser. They even have an old saying, ‘where beer is brewed, life is good’, so have a beer and find out if they’re right!
This country glows in the summer sun and glitters in the winter snow, so your Czech Republic trip is sure to be a blast any time of the year.
