Arrive Calgary (1 Night)
Welcome to big hearted, fun loving Calgary! A beautiful city packed with trendy restaurants, a lively nightlife scene and all the honky tonk fun you could ever want, Calgary is best known for hosting the annual Calgary Stampede, which happens every July. After settling in to your hotel you’ll meet up with your Travel Director this afternoon, then head out to discover the city for yourself. Need a good coffee to wake yourself up after a long flight? Then the neighbourhoods of Inglewood and Kensington should be high on your agenda.

Calgary – Banff (2 Nights)
After an orientation tour of Calgary, you’ll be hitting the road this morning in the direction of Lake Louise, one of the most beautiful lakes in North America. The journey is part of the adventure so enjoy watching the changing landscape from the comfort of your seat as the craggy, snow-capped peaks of the Rockies come into view. Hit the once more road towards Banff. Banff is famed for its world class national parks, glassy emerald green lakes and dramatic vistas, a taste of which you’ll be getting on a sightseeing tour that will take you along Tunnel Mountain Drive, spotting sights such as Cascade Mountain, Mt. Rundle, Bow Falls, and the surreal, nature beaten hoodoos rock formations, which have formed their bizarre twisted shapes over years of erosion from water and wind.

Waking up today we hope you're full of energy, as the vast natural playground outside of your front door isn't going to explore itself. Italian for “iron road”, the Via Ferrata is perfect for those who want a blend of rock climbing and hiking but may not have the experience to go it on their own. It’s just like climbing a series of ladders, all of which are located on the side of a mountain, leading to a magnificent viewpoint and crossing a suspension bridge. This seasonal high-alpine climbing experience above the Mt Norquay Ski Resort includes all the equipment you’ll need along with a ride on the open-air chairlift to access the Via Ferrata. The ride then continues with fantastic scenery as you climb up Sulphur Mountain around the Windy Knoll viewpoint before returning to the stables.

Hike to the Plain of Six Glaciers (Wed, Fri)
Your hike starts by hiking along the Lake Louise shoreline to the back of the lake before ascending up an ancient glacial valley. As you get higher, the colour of the lake becomes even more stunning and the crowds begin to disappear. The trail turns into single track and the immensity of the the valley and its peaks becomes even more apparent. Near to your final destination is the Plain of Six Glaciers Tea House where cakes and tea are served all day long – be sure to bring some cash! Just past the teahouse you will be treated to views of the six glaciers feeding into the valley and Lake Louise. If time and group ability allows you may be able to hike further to view historic Abbot Pass. Rated: Moderate. Hiking Time: 5 hours. Return distance: 10.6 kms (6.6 miles). Banff – Icefields Parkway – Jasper (2 Nights)
The magnificent Icefields Parkway awaits you today, a striking 232km stretch of road that cuts straight through the backbone of the Rockies, serving up ancient glaciers, mountain lakes and broad sweeping valleys en route. Make your way up to the Columbia Icefield which covers an area of over 200 square miles and is as deep as 1000 feet in parts. Here, you'll ride the giant Ice Explorer across the Athabasca Glacier before trekking across the massive marvel of nature and filling your water bottle with fresh glacial water. After this unforgettable experience, you will visit Athabasca Falls prior to continuing on to unpretentious, heart-warming Jasper, which sits at the heart of one off the most beautiful, protected wildernesses in the world for a relaxing evening on your own or an optional three-course dinner followed by a 2-hour twilight wildlife tour & interpretive “Horns and Antlers” talk at Beckers Chalets set along the beautiful Athabasca River.

This Jasper Downtown Foodie Tour is led by a Local Expert who lives in Jasper year-round. You’ll go on a short guided walk that feels less like venue-hopping and more like dropping in for a catch-up with a series of food-loving locals. At each of the four stops you have a chance to sample carefully handpicked dishes, each paired with an alcoholic beverage. Along the way you will learn about Jasper’s history and listen to tales of an authentic mountain town. Per Alberta law, must be 18 or older to participate. Approx. duration: 2 hours

Lifejackets and the specially designed, 7 meter / 25 foot long, oar powered rafts; offer a safe and comfortable ride through several small, easy sets of rapids and calm stretches that any first time rafter will enjoy. Jasper Class II Whitewater Adventure
Get a little wet and have a lot of fun on the Athabasca River. Raft the Mile 5 section of the glacier-fed river. This section of river is a great introduction to river rafting as it begins with an approximately 10-minute float before the class II rapids start. Experience the gentle thrill of some bumps and splashes on your 2-2.5 roundtrip (approximately 1 hour of “river time”). Experience white water rafting in the Rocky Mountains. Heading out of Jasper today you’ll continue your journey through Jasper National Park, passing towering pine forests, surging rivers, vast waterfalls and alpine meadows on the way. The crowning glory of your journey will undoubtedly be catching your first glimpse of Mount Robson, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most prominent mountain in the North American Rockies and the highest point in the Canadian range. You’ll then finish your journey in Sun Peaks.

Sun Peaks – Victoria (2 Nights)
Today you will drive to the coast where you will board a ferry bound for Vancouver Island. After docking at Swartz Bay and making the short drive into Victoria, you’ll no doubt be struck by the English influence of the city. An introductory sightseeing tour will take you along the waterfront district and into the downtown area, passing the Parliament Buildings, Government Street and through Beacon Hill Park so you can really get your bearings. Jasper Class II Whitewater Adventure
Get a little wet and have a lot of fun on the Athabasca River. Raft the Mile 5 section of the glacier-fed river. This section of river is a great introduction to river rafting as it begins with an approximately 10-minute float before the class II rapids start. Experience the gentle thrill of some bumps and splashes on your 2-2.5 roundtrip (approximately 1 hour of “river time”). Experience white water rafting in the Rocky Mountains.
