Hotels, itinerary and coach were fine. Remember this is a costsaver tour so the hotels will be on the outskirts of the bigger cities. Which means if you don't do all the extra options, you have to get around on your own without the luxury of the coach. Worst part is in Scandinavia, don't even think about laundromats as they are non-existent. You better pack everything you need or be prepared to hand wash clothes during those 12 days or more. Our tour started late Aug, and the weather is already getting chilly at that time in Norway, especially after leaving Oslo.
Our guide David and our driver were very good, as were the local specialists. Overall good experience, but it did have some awful aspects to it too. There were smokers on the tour who would get back on the coach reeking of that cigarette stench. I won't take another tour like this until there are no-smokers allowed tours.
The itineary was good - could of had another day in Copenhaegen. If you did both optional tours then you had no free time. On the day of arrival in Denmark the hotel had our rooms preassigned to us when they should be on a first come first served basis. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 and never got into our room until 2:00. Our assigned room was still not ready but after talking to Customer Service they gave us a room that was ready but assigned to someone who we found out later wasn't even scheduled to land until 3:30. Since everyone arrives at different times on the first day, rooms should not be preassigned. All the hotels were very nice, clean and comfortable.
Our Travel Director/Coach Driver and Local Specialists were very friendly and the Director and Specialists were informative and knowledgeable about the cities and countries and their history and future developments. The Coach Driver was great and got us through the routes timely and safely.
Tour was very well organized. Tour Director (Lasse) is an excellent guild & looked after all of us very well. Hotels booked were all very nice & meals (Breakfast & Dinner) were excellent too! It was a truly enjoyable trip for me as all 3 Scandinavian countries visited were clean, well organized & best of all everyone was so friendly & helpful. Will most definitely book will Cost Saver again for my future trips. Soo Yong
