I had the best time on the tour. Nuno, George and all the local tour guides were so professional and friendly. The things I love the most is the changing seats daily so that we didn’t feel like sitting on the same but got the see different corner of the scenes while on roads. I will definitely choose CostSaver for my future tours again. Thank You Nuno and George. We had a great time.
I can tolerate a lot, but the hotel n Granada was the worst one by far; to have poorly working AC when it's 115 F is not acceptable. I didn't mind that the hotels were not right in the city for the cheaper overall price, but they should all have working AC during the summer. I was informed that if we didn't modify the route from the original, we would've spent way too much time on the road. I really appreciated that we made regular RR breaks while on the road. Overall, it was well-run and I would recommend it to friends.
My travel director, Nuno, was amazing at keeping us going- great personality for the the task! He gave us little treats that were much appreciated and is very knowledgeable about the places we go to.... also a very fun/funny guy. George was a great driver- felt safe the entire time he was with us... was sad to see him go. As for the local specialists, they were all pretty amazing about the history of each city we visited. I only had a complaint about one of the local specialists in Marrakech- I addressed it in the survey at the end of the trip. Aside from that, the service was fabulous.
It did seem as though the itinerary described on the website may be different than what we experienced (order). Our Director made everything work though, he was fabulous!
Most of the accommodations were superb given where we were, except for Granada Spain. Our Tour Director was phenomenal, in fact, we are going to find out where HE is going to be to book our next trip!
The trip and guides were great. Some of our hotels could have been much better had the air conditioning been better. Hotels with poor air conditioning were Andalucía in Tangier, the hotel in Granada and our hotel in Lisbon.
I thought it was expensive (I guess it was to pay for the air conditioned hotels which were needed as temperatures in Spain were 41c for days) and then there was the optional Tris as well as the tipping. Aren't you paying your people enough.
