La Boca has got to be the most famous barrio in Buenos Aires and we’ll take you on a sightseeing tour around all the hotspots like El Caminito, the jewel in its crown. This exciting street is more like an open-air museum, with brightly painted houses, statues of Latino icons, outdoor markets and prancing tango dancers.
It’s not often that a cemetery holds the title of top attraction, but this is no ordinary cemetery. It’s a massive complex with over 6,000 graves and Argentina’s most famous figures are buried here. You can spend hours exploring the quirky streets filled with everything from mini cathedrals to Greek temples to marble mausoleums when we tour Buenos Aires.

If you've ever wanted to find out what life is really like on an estancia (Argentinean ranch), here's your chance! We went to the Pampas where we visited an authentic 3,000-acre working ranch that dates back to the 19th century. Best of all, we got to share a barbecue lunch with the family of gauchos and watch a folklore show and horse demonstrations. It was a fantastic day!
Steak is a big deal in Argentina. Whether you’re dining on prime cuts of beef in a fancy steakhouse or feasting on grilled beef from a traditional asado (similar to a barbecue) on the street corner, you’re sure to have some of the best steak of your life.
These heavenly shortbread cookies are the favourite dessert of Argentina. They’re made from crumbly, buttery biscuits stuck together with mousse, jam or dulce de leche (creamy caramel) and rolled in desiccated coconut. It’s melt-in-your-mouth goodness!
Argentinians know their steak, but they also know how to pair it with the finest red wines, and with nearly 30,000 vineyards in Argentina, you’ll have no trouble finding the right drop. We suggest starting with a bottle of Malbec, one of Argentina’s most famous red wines.
Our preferred seasons in Argentina are autumn and spring, so visit any time between May and October for beautiful weather, spring flowers, golden foliage and fun Argentina festivals.
The summer months are scorching and crowded, so it’s best to visit Buenos Aires from May to November when the weather is milder and the pretty blooms light up the city.
The lush grasslands of the pampas in Argentina can be visited all year round, with spring serving up pretty blossoms while autumn dishes out golden landscapes.
You’ll get the best views of the Iguassu Falls and better chances of spotting wildlife from March to November, when the weather is drier and less humid.
Waste disposal is a big issue in Argentina, so always take your rubbish with you if you can, and use a refillable water bottle and reusable bags to cut down on waste.
Help keep Argentina beautiful by always staying on the marked paths to avoid injury or damage to the plants and animals of the national parks.
Most of Argentina is suffering from severe water shortages and you can help save water by taking shorter showers, turning taps off tightly and using towels and sheets more than once.
