We sailed past idyllic fish farms and stilt houses on the mighty Mekong to Turtle Island, where we met a local farming family, sampled fresh fruits and coconut milk, and visited a family-run workshop which makes candy out of the Mekong's coconuts. Next, we hopped in a rowing sampan to explore the smaller canals and got to taste honey tea and listen to traditional folk songs. It really was a fantastic day!

This 468m-tall globe-on-a-tripod tower is the most iconic contemporary building in Shanghai. The highlight at this retro-futurist Deng Xiaoping–era building is the Transparent Observatory (259m), where you can peer way down through the glass-bottomed walkway. Take the lift to the sightseeing floor for 360-degree views of this Chinese gem.

You can't miss riding the bubble-shaped Langkawi Cable Car for the best views of the island. The cable car took us over 2 kilometres up the mountainside where we could see the stunning Seven Wells waterfalls, the blue ocean and the lush tropical forest, before touching down on the peak of Gunung Macincang. Don't forget to hit the amazing Black Sand Beach afterwards!

Walk down almost any market street in Thailand and you’re sure to find a stall selling satay. These sizzling meat sticks are made with strips of meat like beef or chicken that are marinated in a special Thai paste, skewered and grilled to perfection. Dip it in the peanut sauce for the ultimate Thai snack.
